No Tumors

The doctors performed the 100-day- since-transplant PET Scan and I'm happy to report there are No Tumors!  You all did it, I just got through each day riding your spirit, so THANK YOU!

This doesn't mean the lung problems and recovery stage is over. It does mean, however, that this is hopefully the last recovery stage, and there's no big question about recurrence lingering.

Good news.

Great news,David.I am so happy to hear there is no lingering cancer.Hooray!!
Have them check for MAI infection. It took them 2 months to figure out Phil had MAI,which is a very rare condition that few cancer patients get. This is the reason why Phil will not have his stem cell transplant until late Aug early Sept.......Doctors weree afraid to proceed with the active lung infection....If your acid fast test from the bronc was positive, doctors will most likely see if MAI is a possibility. It is just a really hard infection to diagnose...
Again,I am happy for you and praying for you a speedy recovery.
Hopefully Liza and I will finally connect soon...I catch her at the most inconvenient times.....

As you mark your 100th day, I can't help but think of Teddy's big "100th day of school" celebration his class had around the holidays. Everyone got to wear a really big, dopey crown with "100" on it, eat special snacks and play lots of cool games. I can only hope you guys are up there celebrating this FANTASTIC, FANTASTIC milestone in much the same way!! This MUST be it, the real turning point. the big bend in the road, that you've both been waiting for for sooooo long! You're so close!

Keep hanging in, TCB, plowing on ... Two thoughts:

"Nobody trips over mountains. It is the small pebble that causes you to stumble. Pass all the pebbles in your path and you will find you have crossed the mountain." ~ Author Unknown

"Don't be discouraged. It's often the last key in the bunch that opens the lock." ~Author Unknown

Please give Liza and the boys a big hug from all of us!
