Yom Kippur

Today is the holiest day of the Jewish year. This is my favorite religious holiday and service. There is a remarkable quiet peace in the sanctuary as everyone prays and asks others for forgiveness. Liza and I will take Reed this morning (Eli is at his Nana's representing our family in Baltimore) and I will read the prayer book, consider my deeds and misdeeds for the year, and send prayers for all of you.

While I'd prefer to speak directly with each of you, to the extent I've offended or been unkind to you this year, then please forgive me. I will do better.

My very best to everyone. Have a fun weekend!

hi david.

my mom (on her way to philadelphia to be with my brother and his family for yom kippur) saw your mom (on her way to pick up eli) at the train station this morning.

i've been thinking of you this holiday season (being at beth am, and reading the blog, and all), and am sending you wonderful wishes.

(and even though you don't sound impressed by your fishing catch, i think it's quite something!)

The Kauffman Clan all said a prayer for your speedy recovery yesterday. I read your blog everyday, and your positive attitude is amazing. Keep fighting, and you will beat this!
