Thank you!

Your emails and posts responding to the scan results gave me goose bumps all day yesterday. Your encouragement, optimism, and prayers keep me afloat. You all are busy, with lives full of their own excitement and turbulence, I know, yet you find time and energy for me and my family. Thank you!

About two hours after the scans I physically and emotionally crashed. I think my mind told my body that it won and could take a rest from fighting. I stopped eating and drinking (my job for the last month). The pain slowly built until I realized what was happening. I focused again come nighttime, and I'm focused now. I see my oncologist today, in anticipation of tomorrow's chemo, and in the back of my mind I was hoping he would say, "we're done, you did it, no more chemo." That is not going to happen, I know. So we plow on, but with the added comfort that we won the first battle.

Hey chemo, let's go, almost time to dance.

I checked your blog today with the computer equivalent of a spring in my step. I'm sorry that you had more pain yesterday. I wonder if you'll find it more bearable, in a way, now that you know the chemo is working. I hope so. Hang in there! Dana

If 'Plow on" is your team's motto, then we need to come up with the equivalent of a Rocky theme song. That's the one I hear in my head reading your approach to the next chemo session!

Your outlook and your team's support are going to spur you through the next cycle - and catalyze a recovery they will write textbooks about!

Le Chaim - especially to yours.
much love always, Kippy

Yesterday was Finn's first non-gas-induced-grin and I can safely say that it has everything to do with the good news! So go ahead tomorrrow knowing that there are an abundance of little toothless smiles beaming eastward from the Rocky Mountains... Love you!
