Good News

I just returned from the CT and PET scans. My dad (a radiologist) read the scans real time, then sat with the Georgetown radiologist afterwards and compared today's scans with the pre-chemo scans. He says the scans look as good as we could hope for, both anatomically and metabolically. Your prayers and positive vibes are sweeping the cancer away. Like a hurricane. A-men. Great, great news. Lots of joyful tears.

I am easily moved, so tears of joy would have come anyway, but throw in the magnitude of the news and the pregnancy hormones and I'm a mess! But back to you, this is the best news I've heard in a very long time. Just the best! I'm thinking about the relief and hope you and your family must feel today. I am also thinking about how that must have felt for your Dad to watch the scans as they came in. Holy smokes! We're thrilled. Good job Dave and Liza! love, Dana

Great news Dave! Today the choir sings that old spiritual ...

"Let our rejoicing rise
High as the listening skies,

Let it resound loud as the rolling sea.

Sing a song full of the faith that the dark past has taught us,

Sing a song full of the hope that the present has brought us;

Facing the rising sun of our new day begun,

Let us march on 'til victory is won."
