Improvement

Last night our friend Todd brought over a recliner, which is apparently the only position I can be in without feeling throbbing pain. It is awesome. We put it in the sun room, my favorite room in the house, and I slept in it and got some natural sleep (for the first time in ages) from 10:30 to 11:30pm. I then took Ambian and slept for another 2.5 hours. While the total was less than previous nights, I'm optimistic that this will lead to my stomach healing faster. Now that my brain is working a little better, I think it is harder to sleep. I read a lot last night.

I also uploaded photos to the family photo blog (link is below right) and included a few photos of me. I figure we have to document this period and I like going on record with a photo of my emaciated body. It is a direct and public challenge, to me, to get back to fighting weight. I won't sink lower. There is just one direction to go from here!

Dear Dave,

Just found out about your lymphoma from my mom and visited your site. My heart goes out to you, Liza, your boys, and your whole family. I am thinking of you frequently and pulling for you to have small victories which will lead to beating this. I can only imagine the strength that it requires to fight this every day. I believe you can do it, especially with the love and support that is so clearly present in your life.

With support and love,

Wilson Felter and family (Jeanne, Josh, Darcy, and CJ)

C'mon Dave. You know you could take Mike in basketball with one arm behind your back!

BTW, you may be thinner, but you still have that awesome jawline!
