Getting Back

Fixing the lung was key. Man oh man. The doctors sucked over 3  liters of fluid from the right lung - 3 liters!  They "sodered" the lung to the wall yesterday evening - no pain no gain. Now I feel great and am ready to power back into condition. Feeling good is such a pleasure. Breathing without labor is such a pleasure.

I hope to get my appetite and stomach working soon. I think I'm close, as I find myself watching Food Channel and really enjoying restaurant commercials - anyone been to Red Lobster or Outback lately?  They look to have some Delicious burgers and fried/grilled shrimp. (Some places still look gross, e.g. Long John Silver and TGI Fridays.)

All my best to everyone. Have a fun weekend.  Maybe a trip to Outback?

Believe it or not red lobster has excellent cheesy biscuits. I would not recommend eating anything else from there, or you may have to head back to the hospital to have it sucked out of your stomach.
It is evidence that you must be feeling better if Red Lobster commercials seem appetizing.

Dave, I appreciate all you are going through, but if you ever disparage Long John Silver again, we may have a problem.
Keep fightin'

HOLY CRAP!!!

Three liters of fluid! No wonder you were feeling the hurt.

How about a Japanese Steakhouse..the hibachi kind where they throw stuff around. How about a little filet and shrimp?

My treat!

Keep going Dave, this is the uber marathon, kind of like the 100+ miles in the Sahara kind of marathon- you are getting closer every day.

If you want to talk about fine food, well you haven't tasted the meatloaf in Columbus. It is sure to put some meat on your bones!

We miss you, Liza and the boys.

All our love,

Maureen, Scott, Beck and big girl Taylor who just turned 2!

Excellent news. The Impavido are ready to cook anytime, anything that takes your fancy. The basil is growing, about time I made another batch of pesto!
The girls are longing to see Eli's daddy.

I don't go to Red Lobster because it's not very good yet it has Legal Seafood prices. But I do think the food on their commercials look yummy and sizzling. How is it that I've never been to an Outback? I guess it's because I always get sidetracked at the Olive Garden and Chilis.

Re: you, wow!, I am thrilled and amazed that they got that out of your lungs. Holy smokes! No wonder you were feeling so bad! I'm so happy to hear that you are feeling better and that getting back into condition is around the corner. Thanks for this fabulous update!! love, Dana

Sending you love, energy and hugs in abundance. We need to start a virual chant..."DGS! DGS! DGS!" [That's for Dave Getting Stronger in case it wasn't clear.] : ) I'm sure we'd fill a stadium and more if we got all your friends and family together chanting for you. Try that visual!

My wife gave me two $25 Friday's gift certificates and some nice dress socks for my birthday.

Best gift ever (the Friday's certificate specifically).

Go Dave!
