Chemo

We met with the Lymphoma doctor today to discuss the most recent PET scan and probable recurrence. There are indeed tumors in my lungs and while they have the same cellular make-up as the original T-cell Lymphoma, this new strain is not as fast growing, which allows us to be careful and deliberate in our choice of therapy. We will likely go on a chemo regimen at MSKCC starting next week, 3 days of treatment every 3 weeks. We'll try and kill the tumors and then give my new immune system a better opportunity to kill tumor cells as they develop.

The fight goes on; with plenty of energy and strength.

You mean, the Big C thought that you weren't tough?! That you couldn't hack another round of this?! Clearly, the Big C was W-R-O-N-G wrong. It apparently still doesn't know it's dealing with the most strong-willed, amazing, courageous, tough, hope-filled, inspirational, charming, intelligent, humble, brave, kick-butt and yes (even without hair you still were) good-looking guy this side of Alaska?!

In all seriousness, I can only imagine how tough it is to stay positive, despite the seemingly never-ending daily trials, but we are all there, rooting and praying and loving you!

Riding tomorrow in your honor - 8:30 am.

Missing and loving you guys!

We love you,
Caren, Mark, Cate and Jake (oh and Mae, Beaner, Sammy, Buddy and Phoenix, too. :) )

These new tumors seem like the B team to me...after taking out the special forces...this new wave has to be scared of you...they will not last...they are no match for you....you give them hell...you take them out...bombard them with poison...stand tall...head up...teeth gritting...tabacco spitting...take the fight to them!

P.S. Watch some Clint Eastwood movies!
