Back Home

I'm back at the apartment and can't believe the boys' smiles and innocence and energy.  As great as it is to sleep in my own bed and see the family in action, it is also really hard.  Hard b/c I don't have enough energy to even sit on the couch and watch. I retire to our bedroom and work hard to take pills, get fed through the belly tube, and try  to stay as pain free as possible.  Liza has to be mom, wife, and nurse. Luckily her sister is still here to help, but I wish I was more self sufficient. I don't think this lifestyle can last very long. We can't sustain the pace and our sanity.

In the meantime, everyone's encouragement is like getting pumped with little shots of adrenaline.  Awesome. Thank you.

Have a fun weekend!

Dave,

I am so glad you are surrounded by your family, even if it has to be in small doses and spurts. Kid- love and wife- love is an amazing healing balm. Just let it wash over you as you get well: a day, an hour, a moment at a time.

We're all behind you.

Feel that love and white light energizing you with every breath, let it flow into each cell... from your feet to your head... visualize it, slowly, steadily as it fills you up, just like that feeding tube...

On a random note...
Did you ever watch ALIAS, that TV show with Jennifer Garner? If you haven't, it's pretty entertaining on many levels. Check it out if you're up to watching the box at 2am. Wendy and I are working our way through the whole series, gradually, as we create our new balance.

Sending lots of love... Keep on receiving it.

Bill, Wendy, Solomon, and Althea

You and Liza are both amazing--we hope you regain your energy soon so that you can fully enjoy being reunited with your kids.

Hi David,
It doesn't sound easy. But hang in there and keep on truckin'. If anyone can do it - you guys can. To quote one of the greatest movies (can I say of all time?),Wedding Crashers, a cerebral and poignant film, "true love is the soul's recognition of its counterpart in another" - you and Liza have just that and that is the best medicine one could ask for. C'mon - you guys didn't expect me to smarten up my taste in movies did you? We love you both and we are so proud of you all.
Love,
Caren

D- I can only imagine how exhausted you are. I get exhausted reading about what you are going through. You have come so far and done such an amazing job. Hang in there. Everyday is a beautiful new day and keep on finding the positive vs. the negative- which you somehow always seem to do! Love-S
