This afternoon I had another lung biopsy; last week's was done with a fine needle and yielded little material, today's was done with a scalpel and video camera (much more invasive), and we got much more material. The material was sent to pathology for analysis and we should get results by mid next week.
In the meantime, I'm chilling on the bed, heavily sedated as the surgery left an open hole in my side.

Ack! You poor thing!
I hope you are able to stay ahead of the pain and that this biopsy reveals the source of your troubles, so that you can get stronger!

That is the same surgery Phil had to have...........I know it is painful,so you take it easy....
This will all pass soon and you will be back at it!!!
They will hopefully know something by next week.....
The good news is that Phil recovered from the surgery quickly,so Im sure you will too!
Take care and tell Liza hello for me,

Keep hanging tough, Dave. You are an inspiration and a testament to the human will.
Love to you and your whole family both immediate and extended.

Plow on, one day at a time. As hard as I imagine it is to imagine, you really are getting closer to being on the other side of this thing.
Missing you guys dearly - summer just ain't the same without romping in the Holder backyard. (You've got a "hole" and you've left a big one down here, too. - :()
Pulling for you each and every day!
