Malik

Malik and his dad just visited. Malik. Standing above my bed talking and walking like he wasn't just in here with the roles reversed. He's an inspiration. His dad asked my faith and when I said Jewish, they said one god, and then Malike too our hands and led us in prayer. A deep and meaningful prayer for healing and redemption and life and living and eating and celebrating and overcoming. Tears were flowing. Love and faith were flowing. I am in good hands.

Oh crap - those tears are contagious! Now, will you stop being such a good writer? Ha ha ha. :) I am sitting here so moved right now. What a wonderful moment of strength for both of you and how amazing that you have been there for each other. With all this love, friendship, courage, hope, determination, perseverance and fight, you will transcend!

Things that Made Me Cry Today

1. Visualizing Dave and Liza and their friends embraced in prayer
and knowing it works. That's Faith.
2. Avery Margaret latching on!

Things taht Made Me Laugh Today
1. Grant forgetting underwear today at school (and me not noticing)

Everyday moments in the midst of such pain. We think of you in all of it.

Glad to read about your day. Thanks so much for keeping us posted and for your story about Malik and his Dad. A touching image indeed. Hope ICE is striking the balance of being mean, but not too mean. We love you both! Dana
