Checking In

I'm still here, ate my last chemo pill today, slogging through with very little discomfort, finishing strong. I'm fatigued with a sensitive stomach and little ability to concentrate, but the light shines bright. I'm thrilled to be here and hope this is the end of cancer treatment for me. I wouldn't be here without you.

Dave,

After reading your post, I thought I'd visualize you breaking the tape at the finish line. Instead, I have this picture of you munching on a big piece of fried chicken in one hand with a piece of chocolate cake in the other... and a huge smile on your face. Sound like a plan?

I consider myself lucky to know someone with your courage, humor, and fortitude.

cheers,
Kil

Good to hear from you - things got awfully quiet, so we are anxiously awaiting the loud cheers to start erupting from Sedgwick St. any day now ...

What a year 2008 will be for you all!

Hi David,
We are so glad that you are doing so well and REALLY excited to finally meet you. We are flying in from Florida for Marsha's birthday. I have known Marsha since we were little as she lived down the street from my aunt. So when your father moved to Fla. we all became great friends. We think the world of your father and know that the apple hasn't fallen far from the tree. See ya tomorrow.
