Back in the Game

Yesterday I was back in the office and my business partner (Mike) had me working on an exciting new product line he started since I've been gone. As an aside, the fact that he took on all of my duties, saw an opportunity when the credit markets transformed, and then successfully executed on that opportunity blows my mind. Either he's incredibly talented, I was not nearly as valuable as I thought, or some combination of both. Anyway, yesterday, on the wings of my beach trip and your supportive emails, posts and calls, I was flying; working with a sharp mind, focused, getting a lot done, and drumming up a big deal (for us). I made decent headway and then called Mike towards the end of the day (he was working in another office). After I gave him the update, he said, "OK, I need you to get better. I need you back." I am better. I'm back. Just 20 more days of the fog b/w now and December. That's nothing.
