Rice Krispie Treats

Eli and I just made his first ever batch of Rice Krispie Treats. He thoroughly taste tested every ingredient, licked the big spoon, licked the bowl, and has a genuine love for the dish. Does it get better than Rice Krispie Treats at age 3?

I certainly hope that one of the treats - or perhaps two - will be mistakenly dropped at 4473 Sedgwick Street!

Dave -

This is blog is a great show of stregnth! Your daily anecdotes and candid stories reminds us that you get what you give - that is, the more love you give, the more you get, which is why you have so much!! Your smile lights up a room, and I can't wait to see it again. We will all have to get together again when Mike Leahy comes back to town to see what new facial hair he has invented. Keep up the good fight, you can do it! -Heather Haas

I (heart) rice krispie treats. For me they are absolutely the perfect desert, and my achilles heel. Thanks for the great idea... I'm stopping by the market to get me some marshmellows (I've always love that word for some reason) and rice krispies. It was so great to see you all over the weekend.

Cheers,
Kil

I think I'm going to make them tomorrow too. Good idea. Thanks as always for reminding us of the joy of those little things we do with our kids.

The first batch of treats Jack and I made never made it to the plate...we ate the whole pan while sitting on the kitchen floor then ran around the park on a crazy sugar rush. I'm pretty sure we were both asleep on the couch when Dave got home and found we had not saved him any!
Love you all,

Good heavens- the idea of Rice Krispie treats shook everyone up. To answer your question, maybe Rice Krispie treats at 37. I think I love them now more than ever! Kil, don't forget the sticks of butter you'll need to keep them from getting stuck on your hands.
