I'm sitting on the deck enjoying a gorgeous day, about to head into the office for a couple of hours and then to accupuncture. I'm feeling fine, and enjoying the freedom that comes with no discomfort.
I'm happy to report that Malik's second day of surgery went well, all of the tumor has been removed, the doctors were pleased, and his family is relieved and thankful. I have an appointment at Hopkins on Friday and hope to see him then. It's a gorgeous day.

Your words have filled me with inspiration and true admiration. I am about to climb into my 1974 Green Maverick and make the drive to Washington to come and see you. If I get sideswiped along the way, I will walk away...unscathed.
Thanks so much for keeping us all posted on Malik's surgery. I've been thinking about him and his family so much, and about what you told me about him being so full of faith. Hope these summery days continue to bring you much joy.
