The objective of this blog is to keep my friends and family up to date on my delymphomanization.

I was diagnosed with "Stage III Peripheral T-Cell Lymphoma NOS" in August 2007, at 34 years old, with an amazing wife, two kids, loving dog, and generally feeling (as I continue to so feel), as blessed as anyone on this earth.
Stage III means the cancer is in more than one place (my abdomen and clavical), but not in my bone marrow. T-Cell Lymphoma is standard cancer of the lymph node system. N.O.S. means "not otherwise specified", or not one of the standard forms of T-Cell cancer, but somewhat understood nonetheless.
I am going through CHOP chemotherapy until late November. If all goes well, then the cancer will be killed and I'll be back to normal. If there are unexpected hurdles along the way, then I'm in excellent hands with world-wide Lymphoma experts at Georgetown, Hopkins, and Sloan Kettering.

I have been following your illness from afar in Berkeley, California, and tried to email you using what was an old address that turned out to be invalid.
My wife, Sharon and I have been thinking of you often and wishing you a speedy recovery.
I have such great memories of how kind you were to my family and I after Larry's accident. Our hearts go out to you and to your family. You are so courageous. I know I am far away, but if there is anything I can do to help you, let me know.
Love-

Dave, I'm always thinking about you and Liza and the boys and wondering how y'all are. I'm glad you have the energy to keep us posted. I'm also glad that you got outside for a short walk and that you had some couch time, without the boys, to watch a silly movie. There's not much to say to soothe the nausea (it's the worst!), but do keep in mind that it's making you so sick because it's POWERFUL stuff- which is a good thing! Love and prayers from the Little Jackson home, Dana
Bald is beautiful, man. I have been losing hair since 1996. Ask your docs if it's possible to transplant chest hair to head. I have plenty for both of us. :)
Glad to hear that your chin is up. We're always thinking about you.
Your pal,
Marty
